FIRST GROUPS
"Go and make disciples of all nations . . ." Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19)
At First Methodist Church we believe as we grow larger we must grow smaller at the same time. This happens through our Group Ministry, Life Transformation Groups and Midweek. Groups happen all year round, it is one of the easiest ways to get connected to FUMC. Life Transformation Groups (LTG) is made up of two or three people of the same gender who meet weekly to discuss their daily Bible reading. Midweek happens twice a year. We have two semesters Fall, and Spring. Before each semester a brochure comes out announcing the topics that each group will be studying.
Discipleship is simply growing to be more and more like Jesus. After a person accepts Jesus Christ, God uses anything and everything in life to help them follow Jesus and live for Jesus. All of our ministries at First Methodist are designed with these purposes in mind.
